Chapter 930: Rising League Of Primordials
Chapter 930: Rising League Of Primordials
"Listen well Primordials, the All-King sends a message."Blues relaxed his shoulders and took a deep breath.
He looked at Ralph and the others, then closed his eyes.
Ralph raised an eyebrow but didn’t move. He had a few guesses of what would happen next but he wasn’t sure.
Behind him, most of the new Primordials were looking at each other with different thoughts in their heads.
They wouldn’t be here if they had not been severely beaten to stupor on such short notice.
Every one of them was immediately overpowered when they encountered the Primordials of the League.
Only a few like the Primordial Octopus of Machines or Primordial Butterfly of Dreams had actually been able to hold up a fight but even they were beaten up too.
That there were more Primordials on the list did not mean that the loyalists of Kael were at a disadvantage.
All they had to do was communicate through the system and know which Primordial was giving them trouble.
Like that, they ganged up on every single one of them, beating them and forcing them to sign the contracts and join the League.
Since information flowed very fast for people of their caliber, it didn’t take them long to understand the boat they had been forced into and they had no choice.
If they actually looked at it carefully, they were better off with the All-King and his League of Primordials.
The whole universe was already dying. There were rumors of a certain powerful force spreading from the corners of different galaxies, enslaving entire civilizations.
Now that they joined the All-King, all they had to do was be loyal and pay tribute which could come in the form of anything ranging from money to personal service to offering their kinsmen up to feed the Hegemony.
The first two forms of tribute were not bad. Crab Coins and the Law of Banking had simplified the Financial System of the whole Hegemony and vassals.
Providing service was easy. The horses, wolves, spiders, mantis, and many more were sometimes lining up to offer their service as tribute.
As for the last, that was more complex. But it wasn’t an issue.
At the heart of all beings was a selfish gene and the desire to survive.
If the lions demanded tribute in the form of meat, they weren’t necessarily asking the leaders to kill themselves. They were asking the leaders to offer their people meat.
Being intelligent enough to be leaders and selfish enough to hoard power for themselves, it would be very stupid of them to try and fight for their race.
It wasn’t worth it at all.
The lion kings and their clans were what would give the vassal leaders the right to abuse their political power.
The lions, obviously not caring about good or bad governance, would not really care as long as their will was enforced and their power was stable.
So, what were a few sacrifices worth in the grand scheme of things? Besides, those at the lower ranks of society were always going to be used as sacrifices to help those at the top rise.
That was how it had always been in the fascinating dance to acquire power.
And what did the Primordials and vassals get in return?
Everything.
The All-King offered them power, a system, unification of their entire race, purpose, and so much more.
There was even the special Primordial Synergy that allowed them to tap into the pools of their colleagues.
Looking at all this from the perspective of someone who was already at the top of their society, the cost of being the All-King’s subordinate was not that bad.
Looking at Blues who had his eyes closed, they had expected to meet this all-so-great All-King but were slightly disappointed.
Suddenly, Blues opened his eyes.
Those blue irises were completely gone, replaced by a pair of dark gold eyes that rested their gazes on the world ahead.
Instantly, everyone that was on the receiving end of that dark gold gaze felt the pressure.
They felt the weight of a being who could not be put down. A being whose existence itself was dominating.
"Ralph," The All-King spoke through the body of Blues, moving the latter’s mouth and puffing his chest out slightly the same way the real All-King would have done.
"Your Majesty," Ralph greeted and fell to his knees. His knees hit the ground hard and he bowed his head, striking his right knuckles on the ground.
As soon as those at the back saw this, they immediately followed.
Even those who were new instinctively followed the primal desire to bow to this golden-eyed being.
"Alpha God!" Shouted somebody at the back.
Blues turned his head and spotted the person instantly.
It was one of the All-King’s most interesting subordinates.
The Primordial Lamb of Faith.
Currently in his true form. The Primordial Lamb was covered in a pure white silk coat and had six horns on his head.
Each horn was curved with a dark yellow tone. Three on the left, three on the right.
That was the same number for his eyes too. Six pear-shaped eyes fixed in his head. Three on the right and three in line up on the left.
He looked weird and majestic at the same time. His front legs were angled down so that he bowed in the direction of the All-King.
He and some other fanatics were the ones who coined the term Alpha God.
Because in their eyes, the All-King was actually a god.
He was on the receiving end of a lot of worship and faith essence. The Primordial Dive had even created an organized religion that was still in development around him.
That fits all the mundane qualifications of being a god.
As for being an actual Divine being, beyond the immortal tier, that was still a work in progress.
"You all have done well," The All-King said calmly, "You shall all be rewarded," He added.
To this, no one reacted. Serving the All-King was its own reward, the All-King had said it himself.
They should not be excited for any other thing besides working for him. Only duty can give meaning, and meaning is the greatest reward.
"All of you," The All-King continued, "You shall reside in the Apex Pyramid for the meantime.
It is from here that you all will continue to train and be deployed.
Monitor and manage your system from here and make sure that all primary missions are fulfilled on time.
We have spent too much energy on Draconic Heaven. Round up the campaign, secure territory, and get ready for the next set of heavenly invasions.
And through all this, you must not disturb me unless I give you permission. Do not even send a system message.
Anything you want, ask Blues or my consorts or Quion.
It’s only for now.
As for the issues with the system communications. It is only a minor setback necessary for progress.
All must be well with us as we have come this far..."
Blues, or Kael, then went on to ask some questions and answer some questions himself, interacting with the new Primordials and getting familiar with them.
Not too familiar.
This created an air of mystery as they could even see the real face or image of the All-King, yet his power was being perceived everywhere.
And this was the Leonine Heaven, meaning that there were supposed to be a lot of lions here.
But looking around, not many lions were in this vicinity.
They still had to catch up on the war that was currently ongoing.
"Your Majesty, there have been rumors and news of a new force that is spreading fast, enslaving everyone in its path,"
The person who spoke was the floating Primordial Jellyfish, now shrunken to a more comfortable size.
"Hmm," Kael hummed from the mind of his butler.
He knew whom they were talking about.
It was that traitor.
Gabriel, the betrayer.
From what he had heard, Gabriel was actually growing stronger. In fact, he had become so strong that most Supreme Level Immortals would not be able to fight him.
That was just rumors but there had to be some atom of truth to it. After all, the Primordial Penguin was reportedly working for him with a massive human head on a penguin body.
Gabriel was a massive threat that had to be taken care of very quickly. But Kale just didn’t have the time.
He and Kael had already run calculations long before the conflict had reached this level and they found out that Gabriel could be considered a common enemy of all parties.
The Law of Slavery did not encourage its Avatar to have allies or friends. Everyone was either a slave or an enemy.
How the Council of Felines wanted to control such an entity after creating him was to Kael’s disbelief.
It was either they were very stupid or that they had just miscalculated the severity of the Slavery Law.
Either way, Kael had never forgotten about Gabriel.
Blues nodded, "I am aware, all will be taken care of in due time," He said.
The golden color faded from Blues’ eyes and after some silence, he stepped aside, giving way for the Primordials to enter.
Meanwhile, massive amounts of energy were being drained from the systems, causing serious glitches.
This affected the fighters on the Draconic battlefield and naturally caused fatalities.
