Chapter 392 - Prove it
Chapter 392 - Prove it
Days passed once again, and Aiden was starting to realize that coming to this place wasn't a good idea in the first place. The reason for that was that they were doing absolutely all day. It was starting to get too much.
Your journey continues with empire
'I should have just stayed back with the Emberbanes... That fucking system tricking me into coming here, in the middle of nowhere.'
The problem with being here without the slightest information about anything is that Aiden had no idea of what was happening in the rest of the world. He had no idea how Melinda had reacted... he knew that he probably hadn't been the greatest way in the world.
She had probably done something like propagating his identity everywhere. However, none of that even mattered in the first place. Aiden wasn't even close to a city anymore. He wouldn't see anyone in literal weeks, months... even worse, years. Who knows how long it would take until that stupid Jake would start teaching them something?
'He's so lazy, there's no point.'
"Jake, are you going to do something today? Or are you going to sleep again?" Aiden asked without any restraints.
Jake was in his bed, as usual, sleeping peacefully... or at least, pretending to sleep as he didn't even respond to Aiden.
"For fuck sake, what do I need to do? I want training. What do I need to do to have you train me?"
Aiden was really at the end of it. He was close to hitting Jake if this continued... he knew it wouldn't achieve anything, but... the frustration was simply too much for him. He simply thought that it would feel good to do so.
"Just... leave...me...alone," he replied in his usual sleepy voice.
"I told you... tell me what I need to do for you to train me," Aiden repeated once again. He wanted to know what he was doing wrong and as fast as humanly possible.
Wasting time wasn't something that he particularly liked. It was something that he wanted to avoid as much as possible. However, right now, it wasn't too much of a big deal since he was literally in a secluded area with no one around him.
"I told you to show me something interesting. Now leave, I want to sleep."
'Ah, that son of a bitch... how can I show you something if you keep sleeping.'
"Then, come outside I'll show you something."
Aiden didn't care about what he needed to do anymore. He wanted training and he would be getting it. He needed to get stronger and he would make sure that he actually would.
Jake kept sleeping in front of him. However, Aiden wouldn't be taking any of that as he grabbed him and dragged him outside.
Aiden couldn't see it at the moment. But there was a huge smile on Jake's face, he seemed extremely happy. It seemed he had been waiting for a moment like this for literal days, and it was finally happening.
'Seems like he's the first one who took action... Well, makes sense, he's the one who's the more strength-oriented... the others, I have no idea why they were sent here. They don't even care about getting stronger from the looks of it. It's weird... maybe something happened with the system.'
Jake didn't know why so many people had appeared in front of his cave, but he wouldn't help anyone for no reason. They needed to prove themselves, and Aiden was doing good. First, he had asked for a spar with him, and now he seemed dedicated to showing something to Jake.
Those certainly were good steps in the right direction. However, Jake still needed to see the potential of the young man. He knew there was talent, but he needed to see if he had worked while having it. He didn't want someone who was given everything. Jake needed a fighter, and he couldn't wait to see what Aiden would be showing him.
'Let's hope that you don't give up as fast as in our fight.'
