Chapter 52 Total Annihilation
Chapter 52 Total Annihilation
The two people were naked, their eyes were bloodshot, and they were breathing heavily.
Only the most primal instincts remained, as if using this extreme method to relieve the unbearable fear in their hearts.
"Stop!" Vijay hissed in a low voice, leaping out of the shadows.
The two men trembled with fright, clumsily stopping what they were doing. Without even putting on their clothes, they knelt on the ground in panic, repeatedly kowtowing to Vijay, their foreheads striking the ground heavily, their voices filled with sobs and remorse.
"Master, spare us! Lord, spare us! We are terrified, we're going crazy with fear, we don't know what to do, please forgive us this time!"
Seeing the two men's disheveled appearance, Vijay felt a deep sense of powerlessness.
He wanted to reprimand them, punish them, and expel them from the group, but the words stuck in his throat.
They were just two ordinary people, without the magical powers of Brahmins or the bravery of Kshatriyas. It is not incomprehensible that they sought ways to vent their frustrations in the face of successive deaths and strange phenomena.
It's just that this nag is being treated unfairly!
"Put on your clothes, lead the horses back to their enclosure, and go back to rest immediately. I will not pursue this matter tonight, but if it happens again, I will punish you severely!"
"Thank you, sir! Thank you, sir!"
The two men, feeling as if they had been granted a pardon, scrambled to put on their clothes, led their frightened horses, and hurriedly returned to the camp, where they huddled in a corner, no longer daring to make a sound.
Vijay stood outside the fence, gazing into the pitch-black depths of the valley, remaining silent for a long time.
That night, in an eerie stillness, dawn finally broke.
Vijay barely slept a wink all night, staying until the handover was completed in the early morning before he could finally lean against the wheels and close his eyes for a short rest.
But he had only closed his eyes for a short while when a series of urgent shouts woke him up once again.
"Sir! Something terrible has happened! Another person has gone missing!"
Vijay suddenly opened his eyes, and in an instant, the hairs on his body stood on end.
He jumped up almost instinctively and demanded sharply, "Who's missing?"
"Sir, it's those two from last night..." Bim, who was approaching, also looked unwell, pointing to a corner of the camp, "The horse we brought back last night is gone too!"
Vijay's mind went completely blank at that moment.
impossible.
He clearly and distinctly watched those two people return to the circle, watched them put on their clothes, and watched them curl up and lie down in the corner.
He even took a second look during his later inspection to make sure the two were lying there quietly.
How could it have disappeared again?
Or perhaps, after being reprimanded, the two harbored resentment and fear, and secretly escaped from the camp in the middle of the night?
Or perhaps their evil thoughts and filth had not dissipated, and they took advantage of the moment when no one was paying attention to take their horses out to continue venting their frustrations.
Vijay practically rushed to the spot where the two had lain the previous night.
empty.
There was nothing there.
There were no clothes, no backpack, nothing left behind.
Only two slightly flattened patches of ground, pressed down by bodies, prove that someone once lay here.
He then rushed to the perimeter of the camp and carefully examined the ground along the fence.
Especially the place where they made love last night!
There was nothing there.
Just like the person from last time, they vanished without a trace, as if these two people and this horse had never existed in this world.
How could this happen?
Why is that?
Vijay stood in the center of the empty camp, looking around blankly, his heart filled with incomprehensible confusion and chill.
He turned around, wanting to find Vilandra and Mu, to tell them about this extremely bizarre thing, and to discuss countermeasures together.
But when he looked at where the two were, he was once again stunned by what he saw.
Vilandra was calmly tidying up his armor and weapons, his face showing no panic, anxiety, or concern for his disappearance, as if the frantic shouts from just moments ago had never reached his ears.
His eyes remained suspended in mid-air, pupils slightly closed, his aura steady and without the slightest fluctuation, as if nothing had ever happened.
Looking at the others, no one was panicked, no one was talking amongst themselves, no one looked fearful, and no one was looking at each other.
Everyone was calmly packing their belongings, checking vehicles, securing cargo, and calming livestock, their faces bearing an eerie and almost blank calm.
Even Bim, who had woken him up, was now quietly packing Vijay's belongings, his movements steady, his expression calm, and his face expressionless, as if his earlier disappearance was just a joke...
just like……
No one went missing just now!
This calm sent chills down Vijay's spine.
"Bim." Vijay approached and cautiously called out.
Bim raised his head, his face as respectful as ever: "Sir, what are your orders? The luggage is packed and the vehicles have been inspected; we are ready to depart at any time."
"You..." Vijay paused, his voice a little hoarse, "Don't you find it strange? Two more people have just gone missing."
Bim paused for a moment, then replied with his usual respect, "Sir, what are your orders? The luggage is packed and the vehicles have been inspected; we are ready to depart at any time."
Vijay was completely shocked. His hair stood on end, and he instinctively took several steps back.
It crashed hard into Sada, who was standing to the side.
Turning his head, Vijay thought Sada would complain, but Sada acted as if he hadn't been bumped into at all, shook his body, and continued doing what he had been doing.
Done!
Vijay realized then that there was something wrong with these guys.
Or is there something wrong with me?
Vijay hurriedly checked himself, opened the system, and everything was normal!
Even the number of Dalits who surrendered gradually increased to 3000.
A progress bar had appeared below the logging camp, showing 50% progress, which told Vijay how hard Rajan and his group of Dalits were working.
There was also a number below the sacred cow, 30%. I wouldn't understand what that meant if I wasn't there...
It seems I'm special!
Because there is a system?
Vijay didn't have time to think it through.
If they themselves are definitely fine, then it must be the other way around!
He turned his head sharply and looked at Fan Numu again.
In this group, Mu is a Brahmin servant, possessing the blessings of the gods and Brahmins.
No matter what strange things happen, he should be the first to react and issue a warning!
His eyes remained as calm as ever.
The blessing and protective spells he had cast on himself seemed to have no effect whatsoever; however, he could still sense a faint light, completely different from the surrounding atmosphere, emanating from behind his pupils and within his clothes…
So, the entire army was wiped out?
