Chapter 355 The Wedding is on the Agenda
After hanging up the phone, Lin Feng looked at Tang Xiaorui and Tang Xiaofu.
"Let Laifu take you back. Have lunch first. You can rest this afternoon and don't need to come over. I'll stay here with you."
Tang Xiaorui pouted, "But I want to stay a little longer..."
Tang Xiaofu also stared at him longingly without saying a word, but her eyes clearly showed her reluctance to part.
Lin Feng sighed and gently touched the stomachs of the two of them.
"You two are not alone now. Go back, eat well, and get some rest. The baby is the most important thing."
The two sisters reluctantly nodded and followed Laifu away, turning back to look at him every few steps.
........................
The ward was bustling with activity for the next two days.
Tang Xiaorui and Tang Xiaofu would come every day, bringing all sorts of supplements and little clothes.
Tang Xiaorui always wanted to hold Lin Che, but each time she could only hold him for a few minutes before she was exhausted by the little guy's strength.
"He almost pulled my hair out just now!" Tang Xiaorui rubbed her scalp, looking aggrieved.
Tang Xiaofu helped change diapers, prepare warm water, and soothe the baby, becoming increasingly skilled in her actions.
Su Wan recovered quickly, and on the afternoon of the third day, Dr. Astrid came to do a final check-up.
"Both mother and child are healthy and can be discharged from the hospital."
Lin Feng smiled and nodded: "Okay, thank you for your hard work, Dr. Astrid. I'm so grateful for your care these past few days."
Laifu loaded the maternity and baby supplies and luggage into the car.
Su Wan changed into an elegant dress, her chestnut-brown long curly hair cascading over her shoulders, and her face regained its rosy glow.
She held the infant Lin Che in her arms, stood in the center of the ward, and looked around.
"I've stayed for three days, and I'm already a little reluctant to leave," she said softly.
Lin Feng walked over, took his son from her, and put an arm around her waist: "If you can't bear to leave, why don't you come back and stay for a few more days?"
Su Wan rolled her eyes at him: "No way, no matter how nice it is here, nothing beats the comfort of home."
The group walked out of the hospital gate.
The sun is just right, the breeze is not dry.
The extended MPV of the mansion was parked at the entrance, and Laifu respectfully opened the car door.
Lin Feng first helped Su Wan into the car, then carefully handed Xiao Lin Che to her.
Then he sat down and put his arm around the mother and child.
The car door closed, Laifu started the engine, and the car slowly drove away from the hospital.
Su Wan leaned on Lin Feng's shoulder, looked down at her son in her arms, and smiled gently.
"Let's go home, Xiao Che," she said softly. "Back to our home."
Xiao Lin Che stirred in his swaddling clothes, his little fist gently pounding his mother's palm—still quite forceful.
Su Wan chuckled, took his small fist in her hand, and gently kissed it.
The motorcade drove into the mansion and came to a smooth stop in the courtyard.
Under the porch, five figures were already waiting there—Xia Ning, Leng Meng, Vivian, Tang Xiaofu, and Tang Xiaorui were all crowded by the door, craning their necks to look around.
As soon as the car door opened, Xia Ning was the first to rush forward, carefully supporting Su Wan's arm: "Slow down, slow down!"
Su Wan chuckled: "I'm giving birth, not breaking my leg..."
"You still have to be careful." Leng Meng followed on the other side, her tone indifferent, but her hands firmly supporting the object.
Vivian then moved closer to the swaddling clothes, gently parted a corner, and looked at the sleeping little Lin Che inside, clicking her tongue in admiration:
"You've gotten even more handsome in just three days."
The nanny came out to greet them, carrying little Zhixia.
Xiao Zhixia was wearing a pink jumpsuit and had two small pigtails tied with pink bows.
She stared with her big, round eyes, her gaze sweeping through the crowd before finally settling on the swaddled baby in Su Wan's arms.
"Ee?" she exclaimed softly in confusion, stretching her little hand in that direction.
Su Wan smiled and squatted down, lowering Lin Che a little so that Xiao Zhixia could see him clearly.
"Zhixia, this is your younger brother," Su Wan said softly. "Your younger brother is Lin Che."
Xiao Zhixia stared at the tiny face in the swaddling clothes, her eyes widening even more.
She tilted her head, seemingly trying to understand what this little guy who had suddenly appeared was.
Then, she reached out her chubby little hand and carefully touched Lin Che's face.
Lin Che moved her lips slightly in her sleep.
Xiao Zhixia seemed startled, abruptly pulling her hand back and looking up at Su Wan with a surprised expression that said, "He moved!"
"Giggle—" Su Wan was amused by her reaction. "Your little brother is asleep. Zhi Xia, be gentle and don't wake him up."
Xiao Zhixia reached out again, but this time she didn't touch him. She just hovered in mid-air and lightly tapped Lin Che's nose with her finger.
"Beep beep... beep beep..." she repeated, her pronunciation unclear.
Xia Ning laughed and said, "Didi? Is this calling him 'little brother' or 'Didi'?"
Xiao Zhixia ignored her and continued to stare intently at her younger brother, muttering baby talk that no one could understand, but her eyes were clearly full of curiosity and joy.
Vivian remarked from the side, "Judging from this, he'll definitely be a fiercely protective brother in the future."
After settling Xiaolin Che in his crib in the nursery and leaving the nanny to look after him, the family gathered in the living room.
Lin Feng looked around—
Xia Ning leaned back on the sofa, Leng Meng sat upright with a teacup in her hand, and Vivian hugged a cushion to her chest.
Su Wan was still a little weak as she leaned against him, while Tang Xiaorui and Tang Xiaofu sat side by side on the other side.
Lin Feng slowly began, "Su Wan has given birth safely. Now, it's time to get down to business—the wedding."
The air was quiet for a second.
"It's finally going to happen!" Xia Ning was the first to clap her hands and cheer.
Leng Meng gently set down her teacup: "What are the specific arrangements?"
Lin Feng: "Today we've gathered to discuss and decide on the style of the ceremony—Chinese or Western?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the living room erupted in chaos.
"Let's go for the Chinese style, the phoenix coronet and embroidered robe are so beautiful!" Xia Ning was the first to speak up.
"Western style is simpler," Leng Meng thought to herself, "and doesn't require as many formalities."
Vivian raised her hand: "I vote for the Western style."
Tang Xiaorui and Tang Xiaofu exchanged a glance but remained silent.
Lin Feng looked at them: "Where are you two?"
Tang Xiaorui pursed her lips slightly: "We've already had a traditional Chinese wedding, so this time... we'd like to try something different?"
Leng Meng nodded: "Then let's go with the Western style. It's simple and will give Xiao Fu and Xiao Rui a completely new experience."
No one objected.
"Next up is the venue and setup," Lin Feng continued. "What are everyone's ideas?"
"How about a lawn wedding?" Xia Ning's eyes lit up. "White wedding dress, green grass, flower arch, how romantic!"
"This is great!" Tang Xiaorui clapped her hands.
Tang Xiaofu nodded: "The lighting is good, and the photos look good too."
Su Wan leaned on Lin Feng's shoulder and whispered, "For the decor, let's use white and champagne colors as the main colors. Don't make it too complicated; just keep it simple and clean."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"What about the wedding dresses?" Vivian asked. "One for each person? Or should they be in the same style?"
Xia Ning: "I want a fishtail! And a long train!"
Vivian glanced at her: "You suit a mermaid dress, I suit a tulle skirt."
Leng Meng said indifferently, "I'm easy to please, as long as it's simple and elegant."
Tang Xiaorui and Tang Xiaofu exchanged a glance: "We want to wear the same things!"
Su Wan smiled and said, "I'll keep it simple so I can move around more easily and I can carry the baby."
Lin Feng nodded and noted it down: "Okay, we'll arrange the wedding dress separately later. Next—invite our relatives and friends."
The living room fell silent for a moment.
Xia Ning lowered her eyes, her tone becoming somewhat indifferent: "My parents... have been out of contact for a long time."
