Doomsday: Starting from the Titanic

Chapter 17 Uncovering Bai Chi's Murder Pattern

Chapter 17 Uncovering Bai Chi's Murder Pattern

The Blue Light Power Station was quiet and bathed in sunlight, a rare sight in this apocalyptic world.

"I just discovered something strange—the wind turbines and solar generators around the power station seem to have disappeared!" Han Xiu's throat bobbed, his face filled with disbelief.

The solar and wind power generators at the Blue Light Power Station are large, specially made equipment; even if Hu Hua and his group worked together, they might not be able to take them away.

Now they've vanished into thin air, and not just one, but all of them!

"What?!" Hu Hua's pupils dilated in shock. He leaned against the windowsill, his face filled with disbelief. "Someone else came?"

Large engines are of little use to them now; Hu Hua has been preoccupied with how to obtain the strange energy source these past few days.

"That shouldn't be the case. Besides us, the only other person here is Fuxi. I check on her every day, and the commotion they caused was so great!"

"There's no way we didn't discover it!" Hu Hua, who thought he was a genius, was now completely doubting his own existence.

"Could it be that Fu Xi?" Han Xiu couldn't think of any other reason, but Hu Hua quickly rejected the idea.

"Impossible! Do you think that kind of idiot would bring so many devices away quietly?" Hu Hua's thoughts were completely in disarray.

"Do you think he might be faking it?" Han Xiu asked, half believing and half doubting.

"Pretending? Don't make a fuss. Have you ever seen a normal person go to the apocalypse and have no weapons except for a hammer?"

"Shall we crack some walnuts?"

Wouldn't that be a waste of talent?

"That's true, it seems I was overthinking it. So, shall we continue with the plan or...?"

Hu Hua quickly calmed down and thought of a better way.

"Let's proceed according to plan. The generator's disappearance isn't necessarily a bad thing for us," Hu Hua said with a smug smile.

Bai Chi itself grew up relying on electricity, and now that electricity has disappeared, its longing for it will become even more intense.

"I've already put a small solar generator on that idiot; I was worried I wouldn't be able to get rid of it."

"Now we should thank the guy who stole the generator!"

"Let's go! Let's organize the food we found earlier!"

Hu Hua and the other man talked for a while and soon arrived at the place where he first discovered food.

They've almost run out of food these days!

Click!

Hu Hua's eyes lit up as he opened a wooden box, but his smile quickly froze, replaced by deep anger.

"Damn it, where did my food go!" Hu Hua punched the ground, but then hesitated to make a sound that might attract the strange creature.

His expression of anger that he dared not speak out was rather amusing.

"Wait, there are other places!" Following his memory, Hu Hua went to other places where food was stored.

Sure enough, there was nothing left!

"You despicable thief! If I ever find out who you are, I'll tear you to pieces!" Hu Hua punched the ground, his face turning green with rage.

"Let's go! Let's take the food we found earlier!"

Fu Xi, who was searching in the distance, couldn't help but sneeze. He had already roughly searched these places before.

He took everything, useful or useless, as long as he could take it with him; his Titanic was just an empty shell.

He's doing this now so as not to appear out of place.

"Brother Tupo, are you feeling cold?" Fuxi asked, looking around at Tupo.

Tu Po's arrival here is also part of the plan.

"I'm not cold!" Tu Po's words undoubtedly made the air feel even colder.

Fu Xi could tell that Tu Po's mission was most likely to monitor her so that she wouldn't suspect anything.

"Sigh, it seems my wife misses me!" That was the first thing that came to Fuxi's mind.

In his hometown, if he sneezes, it's either because someone is talking about him behind his back or someone is thinking about him.

Fu Xi disliked trouble, so those who offended him all died.

As for anyone missing him? His family is long gone now, and the only one who might miss him is Li Xue on the Broken Wind.

Hmm... that must be it!

Fu Xi deliberately walked into the corridor, where all the doors were half-open.

The items were scattered on the ground, covered in dust, clearly indicating that the people who left here had left in a hurry and a long time ago.

"Tupo, do you have a wife?" Fuxi walked into a room.

It's easy for people to hide here, and even if they leave, they won't be easily found.

"No! But your wife will be able to see you soon!" Tu Po sneered.

A gust of wind blew by, and Fuxi felt a chill on her back. When she looked back, Tupo was indeed gone.

"They've left. It seems the real plan has begun!" Fu Xi took out a hidden solar generator from under her bulletproof vest.

Solar generator?

Aren't they normally GPS?

Fu Xi frowned, deep in thought. Hu Hua's meticulous nature must have its uses.

"Solar generator?"

"Wait, according to my reasoning, shouldn't this thing only be able to generate electricity?"

Power generation?

Power generation?

The red rust on the barbed wire?

Weird?

Fu Xi was startled. She remembered seeing that strange creature in the room at the power station, which could evolve by absorbing electrical energy.

The entire power station has become a bizarre energy base.

"Hu Hua also mentioned this, and considering the similarities, Hu Hua probably isn't lying to me!"

"The strange evolution through electricity explains why the surrounding area is full of rust, but the power station is unaffected!" Fu Xi suddenly realized.

Now that most of the power station's generators have been devoured by it, if the strange entity doesn't absorb a large amount of electricity, it's very likely that it will target other things with electricity.

"Hu Hua didn't finish speaking, so the killing pattern of this white beast is to attack the power source within its attack domain. Whoever has the power source will be killed!" Fu Xi suddenly realized.

Hu Hua put a small solar generator on him. Isn't that like a lighthouse in the dark? Is he courting death?

"No wonder he was so nice to me. So he was plotting against me from the very first time he saw me! He couldn't bear to part with his own people and wanted to use a fool as bait."

"It's a pity I discovered it, but I'll give you a surprise then!" Fu Xi's hand flashed with a faint light, and the mechanic immediately began to work.

[Manufacturing begins: three drones, five small solar generators, half an hour!]

……

"Where's Tu Po?" Hu Hua stood at the top, glancing at the time, his heart filled with impatience. "He's so fast, why waste time with that idiot?"

This is a life of licking blood off a knife's edge! Just then, a familiar voice rang out!

"Brother Tiger, I've already shaken off that idiot!" Tu Po said calmly, clearly having done this kind of thing quite often.

"Any news about Paoduo?"

"Never mind them for now, let's move out of here!" Hu Hua took out all five grenades from his bag.

He used to throw them away one by one, but now he's going all out for this strange energy!

Hu Hua went to the window and followed the route of their first operation. Just as he reached the top of the power station, he was blocked by a shadow.

This is the mother insect of the strange, silvery-white worm on the barbed wire.

A strange, silvery-white creature, tens of meters long, lay motionless on the surface, seemingly very weak.

boom!

boom!

Hu Hua threw out the five grenades that were stuck together, which, as expected, alerted the strange creature.

"Quick, get inside! Turn off all electrical appliances." Hu Hua quickly took out a folding bakelite from his backpack and used it to cover the three of them.

This was the only way he could most likely evade this bizarre attack.

The earth shook violently, sunlight was completely blocked out, and the world seemed to have fallen into the apocalypse.

The strange creature, awakened at the same time, immediately focused its attention on Fuxi, who possessed a solar-powered generator.

The hunt begins!
