"Stannis did fight with that magic sword, but the light it emitted was very weak, far less dazzling than before, and it did no more damage to the dead than my sword did."

Perhaps it was just a little trick by the Scarlet Witch.

Lynn guessed, then quickly put the question out of his mind.

He had already obtained the information he wanted through the conversation: Davos's loyalty to Stannis was extremely high.

Melisandre's view that Dragonstone was a land of smoke and salt is itself a far-fetched argument.

Furthermore, although Stannis is the Duke of Dragonstone, he was not born on Dragonstone, which further proves that her claims are nonsense.
