Chapter 761 - 760- Bella is Busy

The air split. Not a portal. Not a gate. A crack — the sound of space being displaced by a body that had no patience for distance. The wind that followed ruffled the curtains of the main hall, carrying the faint stench of brine and flowers. Viktor stood at the gate of the Lord’s Mansion, bare feet on polished marble, naked, his twin amethyst horns catching the afternoon light through the high windows.

The mermaid hung in his arms. Princess carry. Her tail, scaled and heavy, draped over his forearm and swayed. Her breasts, full and bare, pressed against his chest. Her silver hair fell past his elbow, dripping saltwater onto the floor. She blinked at the vaulted ceiling, at the tapestries, at the chandeliers.

The maids moved.

Not one or two. A dozen at least, all female, all in crisp black-and-white uniforms, rushing through the corridor with towels and robes and silver trays. No men. Not in the hall. Not in the corridors. Not within earshot. The prohibition was absolute — someone had made sure of that.

Viktor walked. His step was measured, proud. His tail swayed behind him, scaled and serpentine, catching the light from the windows. His cock hung between his thighs, thick and soft, swinging with each stride. He did not hide it. He did not acknowledge it.

The main hall had been transformed. The walls, once bare stone, were covered in tapestries depicting dragons and magic circles. The floor was polished marble. The ceiling was vaulted. Fresh flowers sat in crystal vases on mahogany tables. Whoever had prepared this had done so knowing he was coming, even though he had never sent word.

At the front of the maids stood one woman. Not running. Not carrying trays. Standing with her hands folded, her posture straight, her chin level. Her uniform was slightly different from the others — the collar higher, marking her rank. The headmistress. The head maid.

Clara.

Her dark hair was braided and neat. Her brown eyes found his face and held. She blinked once, twice. Her gaze traveled from his face to his horns, to his tail, to the naked silver-haired woman in his arms, to the naked woman’s bare breasts, to the fish tail draped over his arm. She processed it all with the trained composure of someone who had learned not to react.

She bowed. Deep. Practiced.

"This way, master," she said. Her voice was steady. Remarkably so, given the circumstances.

"How are you?" Viktor asked. Casual. Genuine.

Her face flushed from neck to cheeks. A bloom of pink against fair skin that she could not suppress.

"I am completely fine," she said. She bowed again, shorter this time, as if the gesture could hide the color rising in her face. Her fingers tightened on the fabric of her skirt.

They entered. The corridor stretched long, the marble reflecting their footsteps. Tapestries lined the walls — Helena’s work, clearly. The woman had taste.

"Others are handling the town matters," Clara said, falling into step behind him. Her voice had recovered its professional tone. "If you want, I can—"

"No," Viktor said. The word was gentle but final. "You do not need to. I did not inform them intentionally."

He walked. Through the corridor, past the vases and the paintings and the furniture placed with care. His destination was the main sitting room. The sound of voices drifted from beyond the door — a woman’s voice, exasperated and loving, scolding someone in the tone of a mother who had reached her limit.

~ Part II: The Cat and the Babies

Bella was on the couch.

The silver-haired cat-kin sat with her legs tucked beneath her, her swollen belly pressing against the fabric of her loose dress. She was petite — small frame, small shoulders, small everything except the belly, which looked almost absurd on her compact body. Her silver cat ears perked from her hair, twitching.

Two babies occupied either arm of the couch. One had a tiny fist wrapped around her left ear, tugging with the relentless enthusiasm that only an infant could sustain. The other had grabbed her tail — her sensitive, silver-furred tail — and was yanking with both fists, pulling the appendage toward a drooling mouth.

"Why are you both pulling them?!" Bella said. Her voice was exasperated, strained, but threaded with a warmth she could not hide. "You went after your father! Too rude!"

Viktor’s mouth twitched. He spoke from the doorway, his voice carrying across the sunlit room.

"Oh, so you think I am rude when I suck your ears and bite that tail?"

Bella’s ears shot straight up. Her head snapped toward the door. Her silver eyes went wide — the deer-in-headlights look of a woman who had been caught cursing someone she did not expect to hear.

She tried to stand. Her belly and the babies made the motion clumsy. Her legs unfolded. Her hands reached for the armrest.

"If a baby falls," Viktor said, his voice low and calm, carrying a warning that was not entirely a joke, "you are going to get punishment."

She trembled. Her silver eyes found his face. Then his horns. Then his tail. Then his cock. Then the mermaid in his arms. Then back to his face.

"You are finally here," she said. Her voice softened. The exasperation drained, replaced by something fragile. "Arrived." She paused, blinking rapidly. "Wait — indeed." Her eyes moved to the mermaid again, narrowing. "What — whom have you brought?"

He walked past her. His hand reached out and touched the adjacent sofa. The cross-mind ability activated — matter reshaping at his will. The rectangular seat warped, wood becoming glass, fabric becoming hollow walls. A magic circle flared beneath it, and saltwater materialized, filling the basin in seconds.

He lowered the mermaid into the water. Her tail submerged first, then her body. She sank into the basin with a sigh, her silver hair fanning across the surface. She blinked, adjusting to the temperature.

"She is my new wife," Viktor said. Casual. As if he were announcing a new piece of furniture. "And her name is..."

He paused.

The silence stretched. Bella stared at him. The maids in the corridor exchanged glances. The mermaid in the water looked up at him with golden eyes that narrowed into slits.

"...Wait, what was your name?" he said.

The room went still. Bella’s jaw dropped. One of the maids in the hallway let out a small, strangled sound. The mermaid’s tail slapped the water, sending a spray across the carpet.

She told him. Her name, spoken in the melodic resonance of her kind, was clear and sharp.

"Serelina," she said. The word carried the weight of a woman who had just been forgotten by the man who had fucked her hours ago.

Bella looked at him with the flat, tired gaze of a woman who had accepted her fate but refused to be happy about it.

Viktor, who did not care, looked toward the hallway. The corridor leading deeper into the mansion held something more interesting than names. The children. His children. Two babies, one with his dark hair, one with violet eyes.

He turned. Clara was standing at the edge of the room, hands clasped before her, watching him with the careful attention of a woman who had been trained to anticipate orders. He reached for her hand. Pulled her. Against his chest. The contact was sudden — her small body pressed to his, her uniform fabric against his bare skin, her cheek near his collarbone.

Goosebumps rose on her arms. Visible. Immediate.

"How are you?" he asked. His hand rested on her hip, fingers curving over the fabric of her skirt. He squeezed. She was warm. Small. His grip found the curve of her hip and held.

She trembled. "I am fine, master. I just..."

"I want to check something," he said. "Let’s go."
