Where's my golden core? Did you think I removed a kidney stone?

Chapter 21 Order!

Chapter 21 Order!

Su Bei was truly terrified.

She stood at the entrance of the neurology clinic until the family member with the knife was taken away by security guards. Her ears were still ringing, her fingers were cold, her legs were weak, and even her breathing felt sluggish.

too suddenly.

She's still a little dazed from the sudden turn of events.

She was indeed the one who was assigned to this patient, but in the end, she was just a resident trainee, an intern rotating through the neurology department. Her job was simply to record the patient's medical history and follow her supervisor's instructions. She had no say in the actual diagnosis and treatment decisions.

But just now, her teacher suddenly asked her to go out and get a consultation document.

She had barely stepped out the door when she was blocked at the entrance by the patient's family member.

The other person became agitated from the start, immediately launching into a tirade of questions. Their voice grew louder and louder, and spittle nearly landed on her face. More and more people gathered around. She tried to explain that she was just a resident trainee and didn't know much about the situation, but the other person was clearly enraged and wouldn't listen to her.

When that gleaming, cold blade was drawn.

Su Bei felt her blood run cold.

Her mind went blank, and all she could hear was a sharp buzzing. When Wang Dandan stood in front of her, she didn't even realize what she was supposed to do. She just stood there, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably.

Fortunately.

Su Ye has arrived.

Su Bei gently bit her lip, her gaze involuntarily falling on the figure not far away.

Su Ye was standing in the middle of the corridor, his face calm, and he was dispersing the patients and doctors who were watching to both sides.

"Everything's fine here now, everyone can go home. Those who need to see a doctor should go see one, and those who need to go to work should go to work."

His voice wasn't loud, but Su Ye's casual subduing of that tall, burly patient's family member just now made many people think that this young man was no ordinary person.

The crowd that had been packed tightly just moments before had mostly dispersed, and the few remaining patients who had been peering out obediently withdrew their heads under Su Ye's calm gaze.

Su Bei watched this scene with mixed feelings.

She noticed it too, of course. From beginning to end, very few of the doctors and nurses around her actually stood up. Some stood at a distance and watched, some pretended to make phone calls, and some hid back in the examination room.

It would be a lie to say I wasn't disappointed.

But after calming down and thinking about it, Su Ye didn't actually think they were wrong.

Everyone is an ordinary person.

Who isn't afraid when a knife is pulled out?

Such conflicts, if not handled properly, can lead to more than just injuries; they can even end a career. Everyone has a family, and everyone has to consider their own needs. To be honest, the instinct to seek advantage and avoid harm is human nature.

So Su Ye and Su Bei exchanged a glance and didn't blame anyone.

"Brother Ye."

Wang Luo had somehow gotten closer, his face still showing lingering shock. He had been stunned when he saw the family member pull out a knife from a distance, but now that he had come to his senses, his eyes were filled with admiration.

"Your movements just now were so skillful! I was impressed by your amazing physical abilities during the last marathon. You're not some retired Sanda team member, are you?"

Su Ye turned and glanced at him, but didn't say anything; he just gave him a look.

Wang Luo was stunned for a moment, then immediately understood.

"Understood, understood." He immediately shut up and turned to wink at Wang Dandan.

Wang Dandan rolled her eyes, but still joined him next to Su Bei, flanking her on either side.

"Are you alright?" Wang Dandan asked softly.

Su Bei shook her head, but her eyes were still red.

Wang Luo pulled a pack of tissues from his pocket and handed it over, his voice much softer: "Wipe it off, it's okay. Su Ge's kick was so cool, that guy's legs are probably still weak."

Su Bei burst into laughter through her tears at his words and whispered, "Thank you."

She said thank you to Su Ye.

Su Ye simply waved his hand, indicating that she didn't need to take it to heart.

Just then.

A woman's voice came from the doorway of the consultation room.

"What happened? Su Bei, what's going on?"

Everyone turned their heads.

A female doctor wearing glasses walked out of the consultation room. She was in her thirties, with her hair neatly pinned up behind her head. Her white coat was tidy, and she had a somewhat bewildered look on her face, as if she had just learned that something had happened outside.

She glanced at the few security guards who hadn't left at the end of the corridor, then looked at Su Bei, whose eyes were red and swollen. After learning the 'cause and effect', she immediately frowned.

"It's outrageous! These patients' families are just causing trouble without even knowing what's going on." She sighed, her voice filled with righteous indignation. "Su Bei, are you alright?"

Wang Dandan stood to the side, her teeth almost grinding to powder.

hypocritically.

When Su Bei was blocked outside, this supervising teacher didn't show any intention of coming out. Now that the matter has been resolved, she's come out pretending to be concerned.

Wang Dandan cursed inwardly, but showed nothing on her face.

Several people knew very well that this was how the adult world was.

No matter how unpleasant this female doctor was, she was still Su Bei's rotating mentor for the month.

Whether Su Bei can pass her upcoming standardized residency training assessment, and even whether she can stay in the hospital in the future, all depends on her. If you really offend her, she might hold you back in the department, and you won't even have a place to reason with her.

Su Bei clearly understood this principle as well.

She pursed her lips, forcibly suppressing the grievance in her eyes, and said softly, "I'm fine, teacher."

The female doctor nodded, her tone softening slightly: "It's good that you're alright. Come back to the examination room with me; the patients here are still waiting."

Su Bei stood there, her fingers slightly clenched, and after two seconds, she still responded softly, "Okay."

She turned to look at Su Ye, her eyes filled with complex emotions, as if she wanted to say something, but in the end she said nothing. She simply nodded slightly to him and then followed the female doctor back to the examination room.

Watching her retreating figure, Wang Dandan couldn't help but mutter under her breath, "How frustrating."

Wang Luo also sighed.

The corridor fell silent again.

Su Ye stood still, observing coldly from beginning to end.

He was not angry.

You could even say it was very calm.

He had no time to interfere too much in other people's lives, nor was he interested in rushing in to uphold justice. Resident trainees, instructors, departments, assessments—these things constituted a complete set of order in the hospital.

It looks indifferent, even somewhat absurd.

But it just exists.

This is order.

These are the rules.

Wang Dandan was still sulking on the side, while Wang Luo kept comforting her, saying things like "Sister Su Bei is so gentle, she will definitely be rewarded in the future."

Su Ye looked at the closed door of the neurology clinic and suddenly a faint smile appeared on his lips.

only.

How long can this rule be maintained?
